Patrick “Patty” Danao began his love affair with music at an early age when he was placed on the throne of his father’s drum kit at just 11 months old. Since then he has travelled the world, performing with artists including James Morrison, Wycliffe Gordon, Jeff Clayton, Patti Austin, Dianne Reeves, Marian Petrescu, Kate Ceberano, Darren Percival, Joe Chindamo and Troy Roberts. Patrick is regarded as one of Australia’s leading up-and-coming drummers.

A graduate of the James Morrison Academy of Music, Patrick earned a Bachelor of Music in 2016 and received the inaugural Academic Excellence Award. As a member of the Academy Jazz Orchestra, he toured the United States, performing at the Jazz Educators Network Conference, Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola in New York, the Green Mill in Chicago and with the Grammy-nominated One O’Clock Lab Band at the University of North Texas.

Before the Academy, Patrick attended Newtown Performing Arts High School, regularly performing at the Sydney Opera House, and was a member of the NSW Public Schools Jazz Orchestra.

Patrick has received numerous drumming honours, including Australia’s Best Up & Coming Drummer and Billy Hydes Drum Play-off titles. At just eight years old, he performed as the opening act for Mike Mangini and shared the stage with Omar Hakim.

As a regular member of James Morrison’s Quartet, Patrick has toured internationally, performing at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London, Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola in New York, the Prague Proms, and the BBC Proms with Dianne Reeves. The quartet's album The Great American Songbook received the ARIA Award for Best Jazz Album.

Harry Morrison began his musical journey on the violin at the age of five, switching to cello a year later and electric bass at age twelve. His love of the double bass began when, at age thirteen, he was cast in a musical as a jazz bass player with the Black Swan Theatre Company.

He quickly developed an unmistakable sound on the instrument and became sought after by many of Australia’s top artists, including Kate Ceberano, Mat Jodrell, Emma Pask, James Morrison and Tony Gould. He has also performed with International artists such as Dianne Reeves, Marian Petrescu, Wycliffe Gordon, Jeff Clayton and Troy Roberts, to name a few.

Harry has a Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the James Morrison Academy of Music. He was also the recipient of the 2015 Excellence in Performance Award.

He has recorded several albums, including at Abbey Road Studios in London, with Grammy Award winner Patti Austin and on the ARIA ‘Best Jazz Album’ of 2017.

Having toured extensively throughout Australia, Europe, the United States and Southeast Asia, Harry has played with many symphony orchestras and featured in 2016 at the Prague Proms and 2018 at the BBC Proms.

His touring schedule has included dates at Ronnie Scott’s in London, the Green Mill in Chicago, Dizzy’s in New York and performances in Spain, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Singapore, South Africa and many more.

William Morrison started playing violin at the age of five, switching to cello at seven and guitar at age twelve. His passion for jazz was inspired by guitar legend Joe Pass and by the age of fifteen he was working professionally as a jazz guitarist.

Having completed a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours, William now spends his time touring, composing and teaching. A prolific composer, he has won a number of awards, including his piece ‘Connection’ being chosen by the South Australian Government for a nation-wide campaign in China.

His touring schedule is no less impressive, with concerts and tours in Spain, Germany, Austria, the UK, USA, China, Prague, Hungary, South Africa, and many more. Recent highlights include the BBC Proms with Dianne Reeves and the BBC Orchestra, headlining at the Newport Jazz Summer Series in California, performances at Dizzy’s in New York, the Green Mill in Chicago and playing on the ARIA ‘Best Jazz Album’ of 2017.

William has worked with many international stars such as Jeff Clayton, Wycliffe Gordon, Gordon Goodwin, Tamir Hendleman, Marian Petrescu, Troy Roberts and recorded with Grammy Award winning vocal legend Patti Austin.

Australian highlights include performances with the Melbourne, Adelaide and West Australian Symphonies, Kate Ceberano, Emma Pask, Don Burrows, Darren Percival and of course his father James Morrison.

Patrick Bartley is one of the most exciting saxophonists to emerge from the New York jazz scene — a Grammy-nominated alto saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist and bandleader with a sound that fuses dazzling virtuosity, deep swing and fearless imagination.

Born in Hollywood, Florida, Bartley has become known for his explosive playing and vocal-like sound, drawing comparisons to the fire and fluency of Cannonball Adderley and Charlie Parker. Since moving to New York, he has performed and recorded with some of the greatest names in music, including Wynton Marsalis, Jon Batiste, Herbie Hancock and many more.

To millions around the world, Bartley is instantly recognisable from his electrifying appearances on Live from Emmet’s Place, where his solos have become viral jazz moments — alive with humour, speed, soul and total command.

James Morrison is one of the great forces in Australian music — a virtuoso trumpeter, multi-instrumentalist, bandleader, composer and educator whose career has taken him from the world’s most famous jazz clubs to the great concert halls of Europe and America.

He was playing professionally by thirteen and made his US debut at the Monterey Jazz Festival at just sixteen. Since then, he has performed with legends including Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Hancock, Ray Charles, B.B. King, Wynton Marsalis, Chick Corea, George Benson and Quincy Jones, and appeared at venues and festivals including Montreux, North Sea, Ronnie Scott’s, Birdland, the Blue Note, the Village Vanguard, the Hollywood Bowl and the BBC Proms.

Morrison’s musical world stretches far beyond jazz. He has performed for royalty and presidents, written the opening fanfare for the Olympic Games, appeared as soloist with major orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic, and recorded across big band, gospel, classical, swing and fusion. He is a member of the Order of Australia, an ARIA Award winner, and an inductee into the Australian Jazz Hall of Fame.
