Morrison meets Manhattan

James Morrison Quintet

Featuring Patrick Bartley

8 - 12 Sep 2026

Australian jazz icon James Morrison brings his quintet to Live at Yours for one night only — joined by New York saxophone firebrand Patrick Bartley.

Direct from New York, Grammy-nominated saxophonist Patrick Bartley is one of the most talked-about players of his generation. Known for his viral performances on Live from Emmet’s Place, Bartley’s playing has been likened to Cannonball Adderley and Charlie Parker. He has performed with Wynton Marsalis, Jon Batiste, Herbie Hancock, Carole King and many more.

James Morrison doesn’t just play jazz. He ignites it. Trumpet, trombone, flugelhorn, saxophone, piano — whatever he picks up, the room lifts. He has played with the giants: Dizzy Gillespie, Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, Ray Brown and Wynton Marsalis. Now he brings that fire to the close-range world of Live at Yours.

Expect jazz that swings, smiles and takes off: virtuosity without stiffness, soul without pretence, and the kind of chemistry that only happens when world-class musicians are alive to the moment.

Set inside two of Australia’s most spectacular concert spaces, the soaring, mood-lit architecture of Toorak Synagogue and the grandeur of Brisbane City Hall, this is James Morrison as you want to hear him: intimate, spontaneous and on fire.

One night only in each city.
